33420, Gonna buy the parts for the rest of my NER kit(again) Posted by GorkoRacing, Oct-27-02 02:12 AM
Ok since i got screwed outta my whole kit i am gonna buy the rest of the parts again i guess. I have the turbo, exhaust mani, downpipe, intake to tb piping, and i think all the connectors and gaskets. So, I still need the fuel pump, fmu, fcd, and wastegate to make this thing run. I am gonna have to get the guages safc, and tt again too but i just wanna get the rest of the parts i need to make this work for now. Im only gonna be pushing 5lbs for now till i get me an intercooler. eventually i wanna run around 15lbs after i rebuild. So my question is which types/brands of these things should i get? Tial wastegate(?) etc????? TIA

Walbro 255LPH pump - www.forcedperformance.net $110 Vortech SFMU - $250 I think. Might as well get it now. Especially if you'll be running 15 psi later on. Get the Tial wastegate. I think they are $250 from www.extrememotorsports.com
Also, hold off on the SAFC for now until you get bigger fuel injectors. Although, according to Murix you can run 440's fine on the stock computer without the aid of an AFC!

Keep ur head up man, I feel ur pain. Im slowly getting the components for mine together also, I have decided to pick up odds and ends for a stage 2 kit, gauges, wastegate, and intercooler at different places here and there, after the holidays Im gonna to order a barebones kit from HRC and maybe I'll just break even. Good Luck

Thanks you guys, What about the fuel cut defender(isnt that what is meant by electonics for obdII cars). What would you suggest for that? Thanks again. Edit: As for the fuel pump. Is the walbro very loud i think i have heard it before but im not sure. Also, later stages replace the walbro with the supra fuel pump right so would it be to my advantage to go ahead and get the supra pump since now im doing pretty much a custom fuel setup?

get the missing link from www.group5motorsport.com , many people have had problems with volt clamps and switched to the missing link.
also the walbro pump is alot louder than stock, but not too bad. i can only hear it at idle with the radio off.

you know the real sad thing is you shouldn't HAVE to buy the xtra parts. Have you heard anything on getting your money back? Really sucks man. I would take em to court at the very least. If I rember correctly, anything over 750 is a felony. That is if he knew he was going broke and still took your money.

Yeah it is sad. I still havent heard back from my cc company and my lawyer told me last friday after i showed him that bankruptcy letter that im pretty much screwed. My best bet is to get it back from the cc company. Hopefully i will get it back because if i dont then it will prolly be next summer before i can buy the parts again as I am in school right now and only have a job during christmas break and spring break if i decide to work. well anyway what do you think about going ahead and getting the supra pump or should i just go with the walbro.

I also feel your pain, but i am hurting real bad. I am a new user to this site and i got on about 4 months ago and saw the ner kit so i decided to use some of my school money to buy a stage 2 with some other accessories. Well i am just about screwed, i sent amoney order for $2282.75 and now he files bankrupt, so i am trying to get some money back and it is not looking good at all. So i am out of $2282.75 and a kit and nothing in return. I am so pissed off, he better pray i dont find him or a friend moves to California and knows where he is at b/c that will be his ass, regardless of laws or jail time b/c that kind of money is no joke. Hope everything works out with your cc company, and lets pray for mine also.

Whoa thats hurts, luckily for me it was vacation time and my wife told me to wait or I would have seriously gotten burned too, but that's 540 I could have had towards another kit. I work full time and go to school on nights and weekends, plus my tuition is paid 100% by the government so I will recover easily from my losses but for u guys still in school fulltime that has to hit your pocket hard, those books and tuition is very expensive. For 2300 u definitely need to get to cali quick. Much luck to ya

Ouch. Well, best of luck to all of you guys, i understand your situation entirely. Last January some faulty mechanics blew up my motor (pretty much) and left me with a dead car. It's really hard when you're going to college and don't have the money to take care of it all. All of my mods are definitely thx. to bank of america. Although, i shouldn't thank them, because the jackasses are having a hay-day with interest. Just thought i'd express my feelings, guys keep your heads up.

I really dunno, i got to see what i get from the cc company if anything and if at that time i still want to boost it anymore. If not ill give you first dibs and try to hook you up with a fair price.

No problem bro. Another ? tho if i do decide to get the rest of this stuff with the walbro fuel pump the howell site says something about needing to buy the gst brackets for it to work. Is this true and if so where do I get these as it says they are not included with the walbro pump from howell.

Hey Gorko there was a post a little while back about some real cheap high flow pumps at autozone or something like that. they will push more fuel than you will need as well. do a search for the topic.

Good looking out bro, do you think the autozone pump would work ok tho? I mean it would be a bad thing for it just to give up on me like a week after having all my stuff together.
