32938, Looking into buying a HRC Stage III
Posted by need4speed, Oct-17-02 04:45 PM
Anyone have this kit on their car? Any times recorded? HRC's website claims 325HP running low 13's to high 12's in the 1/4. Just want to know what I'm getting into before I spend the money.

Well, my advice to you is simply this... If you are familiar with what is all involved with turboing our cars, and are no stranger to working on engines, I think you will love it. If you are expecting to buy the kit, pay to have someone do all the work, and have everything go perfect for years and years, I'd hold off. Knowledge is most definately power, and knowing how to tune, and how to fix problems that will happen is extremely important. But, after all of your hard work, when you stomp on the gas, your feeling of happiness will be taken to a whole new level :o

What kind of times are you running with your Stage IV? I know alot about the 420a , but not about the turbo. Any good sites with info I can read up on?

Do some archived searches in the turbo section :) That should answer all your questions......

I haven't got any times yet because I just got done breaking in the new motor. When my dad gets back next week with the laptop, I will tune the 8 injector setup, and hopefully have some times within the month. To get a good idea of what kind of times to expect, take a look at Strauss' times on his signature in this thread.
