So I was reading that post down below that connected the boost fade prob with the PVC leaking under boost. Can you just cap off the manifold and leave the port open OR does it have to be connected to a vac line in order for the CEL not to light?? I think I might have the same problem - everytime I boost I need to give it more and more gas to keep the boost level. Thanks

Yeah, that was me. The PVC itself was infact leaking, but i still got boost fade with that out of there. My throttle body throttle plate shaft was leaking, which was most likely causing the boost fade at high rpms. The fix for my problem, was to use a boost source at the inake mani, instead of using the boost nipple off of the turbo housing, for the manual boost controller. This way, when boost leaks and starts to drop off, the manual boost controller will see that, and then it kicks back in to its setting, and boost comes back up to where its set for. I still have yet to fix that leak..I didnt really notice a difference in boost fade when i took out the pvc valve...It wasnt that much of a leak, but its always good to get rid of any big leaks..Dino had an idea of putting in a check valve inline with the PVC valve, as a check valve is much better at blocking boost than the PVC alone..I guess my post was kinda not explained very well, but in my case, boost leaks caused my boost fade, but i remedied it by using a boost source at the intake mani, instead of the turbo houing, for the MBC inlet. It now works great, but remember, the boost leak is still there at the TB..until i fix it that is :)

Speedracer did this mod awhile back... search for bypassing the pcv and related things...

i think he capped off the intake mani, and ran the pcv w/a check valve directly into his catch can...

he did post some pics of it, but i havent seen him post lately. he got into a tiburon (widebody) and had sold his 2gnt...

but consult him on this, or search for his pics/explanation on it..

good luck

How would this prevent boost fading or spiking?
