This is a dumb question I know but What is a Studder Box and where can I get one? All I know its something used on turbos.

As far as i know its basically a rev limiter box you can use that let you maintain a certain rpm while staging. Example: You set your Launch RPM to 3500 so that you can hold that same rpm with the gas pedal to the floor, So you don't have to play with the throttle to maintain 3500. I think that's how it works. I believe that the MSD Dis2 boxes have this feature built in.

It's a secondary rev limiter tied into your clutch pedal that cuts rev's without cutting fuel. Makes a godawful noise }> at launch, and builds a few pounds of boost at stand-still.

The TMO (Technomotive) ECU (stage 3) for turbo DSMs is the one I hear of the most. Do a web search for "clutch wire mod" or "stutterbox mod" altho the TMO ECU won't work on our N/T's.

I have a Crane ignition that also has a "rev limiter" feature. I simply hooked up a "NOS" momentary button to it. Hold the button in ("on"), fan the throttle to build up boost and the Crane will limit throttle at my settings. It's a great way to launch consistently, although I haven't used this feature at the track yet. I tried this on the street, and I love it.

Will these things work with an AT?

Yes, it will work with an AT too.

So can I ask how this allows you to build boost on the line? I thought the reason I couldn't was because there is no load on the engine. Does this allow there to be a load on the engine when sitting still?
