hey, what ever happened to the expermental downpipe that jason tested? i remember reading his lenghty post about it a while back... did the guys over at hahn decide to go back to the drawing board or will they sell it soon? i'm not a big fan of the clamp idea that's currently in use. well, it works nicely and all, but it would look a lot cleaner just to have 1 unit going from the turbo to the cat, not to mention the larger diameter that the folks with the star kit already have. anyways, i'm done.

hahn had nothing to do with it.

www.teamert.com is making it - theyre making revision to the original design and need to test it out still

Yeah, ERT came back to pick it up. They need to make a few changes, re-fit it on Vector-Racing's car, and then they can start production.

We're all eager man! :-)

is the HRC downpipe that crappy? I mean the star ones didn't fit perfectly either but they were decent.

mine didn't fit perfectly either (the bottom bolt was kind of difficult, but everyone seems to have had that problem), and i always thought that cutting the stocker was kinda weird. i guess it was good for me, because my stock down pipe was pretty rusted to my cat and i couldn't unbolt it (too late to take it to a muffler shop to have them do it cause everything was already in a million pieces), therefore i had to remove my entire exhaust system to be able to get in there to cut the downpipe. kept the old section as a momento and it sits on my monitor as a constant reminder of my "normally asperiated" days. heh.

Hey guys,
Yeah we are still waiting. Matt has been trying to get ahold of Greg for over 2 weeks now and nothing.

Tell ya one thing though, we told Jason to beat the hell out of the prototype. The first time I saw it back I thought he has painted it, the pipe was raw mild steel and now it looks like it was powdercoated. The thing is BLACK , usually they turn blue or purplish from heat, but this one went WAAAAAAAAAAY past it. Once I get my camera working again I'll take some pics, she held together after what it was put through though.

If we ever get greg in we will bolt it up and mark the changes, then go for round number 2.

hahn has a 3'' emiminator downpipe i think... The stage 1/2 downpipe though is short, like a foot long or a little more and plumbs back into your stock piping... when i think downpipe, i think all the way to the cat.... you can have any competent muffler shop weld some mandrel bent 3'' sections together for about 189 bucks including parts cost...

Alright, I havent had any luck with getting a hold of greg(vector racing) I dont know if hes on vacation, or if hes not getting my messages, but weve played phone tag for awhile then I lost contact with him completely. We need another test car in the area(Chicagoland), that has the Hahn Turbosystem on their car. If you are interested, email me ( matt@teamert.com ) and ill fill you in on the details. The soon we can get someone out to do another testing, the sooner this dp will be available for everyone.

Thanks

Matt
