Just curious....what percentage of the 600 mies was city, stop-and-go, type driving as opposed to freeway driving?

I'm planning on 8psi of boost. Clutchwise, I can't decide between centerforce DF or clutchmasters stage 3...I was just about decided on centerforce, but then I see this post :(

Make ABSOLUTELY sure that your pedal is adjusted correctly! I had this same problem, did the 500 mile break-in on my CFDF, then went to stomp on it and it just slipped. I ended up flushing my clutch fluid multiple times, replacing my master cylinder, checking the slave cylinder, adjusting the pedal so the pick-up point was in the middle, everything I could think of.

It turned out that there's a bolt that restricts how far back the pedal can return. Mine was screwed in too far, so my pedal wasn't coming all the way out, which means the clutch wasn't fully engaging. Now I run 8psi on the street and 12psi at the track and the CFDF grabs fine.

grrrr, CFDF is junk. 5000 miles + 18psi = gone... Maby for low boost, but anymore than 10psi and it was slipping like mad.

Im going to able to run 25psi after this winter on 114 octane...looking at clutches, does anyone know if HRC stage 4 clutch is any good? Is it reliable?

yeah, centerforce clutches do suck very much. look into getting a clutchmasters stage 4 clutch.

once u get to about 400hp your gonna start need a manual overdrive from forward motion, it is and still does handle 700hp+ in the 9.07sec neon it has to be shifted like a manual but it is a bullet proof automatic

basically its a manual tranny with no clutch pedal is the easy way to explain

12psi for 2 months on CM Stage 1 with no slippage whatsoever.
