Ok I bought a compression tester at auto zone.. warmed up the car, turned it off 10 min later, disconnected those 2 black plugs, took out all the plug wires, took out spark plugs in order 1-4, put in the testor hit the gas a bunch of times the gauge didnt move... what could i have done wrong?

Did you crank the motor? ;) You need to hold the gas down while cranking the motor. Do it w/ a friend and have him do that part. Meanwhile you hold the gauge and when it stops going up then tell him to stop cranking. (if you just left out the part where you WERE cranking then ignore this)
