3138, stutter problem Posted by Dave16gt, Mar-26-01 10:18 AM
Hey guys, I was driving my car the other day and everything was fine, Then I filled it up with 93. When i started to drive it was stuttering at idle and it was a little rough on the take off, but after that it was okay. The check engine light came on for code 21, the oxygen sensor code. Any ideas what could cause this, maybe just bad gasoline or something? Also does anyone know any good shops in the DC area, im in school here and I dont really know of any shops down here? Thanks guys.

Hmmm...it could be that you got a fillup after the gas station had just refilled their tank; that stirs up contaminants from the bottom of the tank. Just a thought. Where did you get your gas? I had a fillup from a small gas station once and immediately noticed some rough idling.

well the check engine light went off now, and it idles fine. I got the gas from amaco, but if it was new like you said then maybe that could have caused it, thanks
