if possible i would like to know whoever has the Crower/Eagle Rods to let me know
1-which one you have ?
2-why did you pick it?
3-how much did you buy them for?
4-why not not the other?
if im tight on money i will go with eagle, which i am. but if i got money to blow or if there is a reason 'i' should go with crower i will save up..
i plan for the future to push around 400hp to the crank or wheel would be nice.. well thats years from now till i get that goal of 400hp, but i rather be safe then sorry

I have Eagle rods. I chose it because it's been tested to handle close to 700 hp, and it costs less than other brands. I'll probably never make that much horsepower because my car is a daily driver. Plus, I don't think I have the money, time or mechanical/technical knowledge to be building a race-only car. I believe they're good rods, eventhough they're not as popular as Crowers. Best bang for the bucks I think.

where did you get yours from? i see the going rate is $350 for the eagle rods.. just wondering did you replace your bearings also? to what kind ?

I got the eagles with clevitt bearings. Get the eagles they are great. They can handle as much hp as you can ever possibly make with your engine.

I guess my car just loves expensive parts... got the crowers.. i doubt i'll ever break them... so i am happy...

I have crower as well, I needed them overnighted. Since hahn buys like 10 sets of every 20 sets made i had to buy from them. The whole ordeal cost me around 700 but at the time i had the cash to blow. late mike

a mechanic i know told me both are great, but mentioned something about eagle rods being made in China or somewhere so if quality control is not 'up' that day you might you know... well overall he said get the eagle but just know crower are better but cost more...
i know we can use 77 clevitte bearings but does anyone else make them like the Federal Modual not sure about my spelling...

I have Eagle rods with 77 bearings as well. I compared them to my stock rods and they look much stronger. Bottom line is this. If you plan on makeing a race car (500hp+) get the Crower. If you plan on making a fast street car just go with the Eagles.
