Bad or fouled plugs help contribute to running rich??? My theory is that if the plugs don't have a good, clean spark, it won't burn much of the fuel. Thus equaling a rich status. Just curious.........

Well, if the plug is in such poor shape, than it wouldn't start. If it were running but the plug is pretty shot, then it "could" but more likely it's burning enough fuel not to send a false signal to the o2 saying that it's running rich. If it were happening the O2 would send a signal to lean the mixture. But there are alot "if's" and "but's" there.
