30617, got the car running but now i have o2 sensor problems

alright, well i got the car running yesterday (had to drop the freakin tranny for loose bolts x( ). it started up great and everything was fine. Well since i'm at about 600 miles on the new engine i decided to see what boost was like again. so i'm boosting checking my fuel pressure and then corbin's A/F gauge when i notice the gauge says -.07x (it fluctuates from about -.07x to -.04x). Then i look at my egts and i was doing some 2nd -3rd pulls to about 5k rpms and only getting about 1300 degrees max.
** egt probe in exhaust manifold **
Right before i dropped the tranny (note that o2 sensor was working) i would be crusin around the streets and it would easily hit 1400 degrees. Now when i'm crusing i get around 1200 degrees and i'm lucky if its that high. These numbers seem awfull low to me. I also get hesitation when the car is cold or when i'm not at full throttle. And the idle is very jumpy and rough.

note at this time only codes i get are EGR and battery disconect

so i hook up my data logger (which i still don't fully understand how to use) and i'm not getting any different codes from that either. I'm using obd-2 software. I look on the status screen and where it says Oxygen sensor and Oxygen sensor heater they both say NO, where they used to say YES.

I thought it might be the wiring so i checked it and it was fine so now i'm lost.

Is this what it is normally like when a O2 sensor goes? It just happened all of the sudden.

check your a/f gauge connections..make sure its hooked up right after the rebuild.. hmm pull ur o2 sensor and check it out... on your ob2 screen go to trouble codes and see what other codes it throws if so?... if you want go to the screen where u can view certain valves and check your o2 sensors while u or someone else drives the car...

the connections are fine, the gauge worked after the rebuild and now it doesn't work (pulled the tranny at 500 miles). there are no other codes being thrown besides egr. There is nothing to check for the o2 sensor, it says data will be invalid (assuming because it doesn't think there is one) no data even comes up then.

does anyone know if the o2 sensor from the neon is the same as ours?

so it worked after the rebuild, but did it work after you pulled your tranny out also? you might have mess with a wire or something along the way...just a thought...

i thought about a wire also but i looked at them all and they seem fine. so i don't know. i ordered new 02 sensor so we will see

test the voltage real close to the sensor with a fluke and see what you get, and see what you get close the gauge.
