i just bought one of those autometer gauge bezels, b/c ive had this tranny temp gauge sitting in my room for a year, and ran out of room to put it, heh.

anywho, im wondering what other gauge i should get to fill that second new opening.

as of right now, i have boost, egt, fp, a/f and tranny temp. also, i have a 95 auto, so i do have the stock oil pressure gauge in the instr. cluster. i know its not the greatest gauge, but it works.

i actually wanted a IAT gauge, but those things are to damn expensive.

i was thinking oil temp, but just wondering if you guys had any other opinions, maybe another gauge that maight be a lil more important.

forgot to mention, my TT displays voltage, so dont need a voltmeter either...not that i would have got one anyways, ;)

dont know if u check the tranny forum @ asog, but i have another problem i gotta deal w/ right now first, freakin tranny fluid line came off while driving, so right now i have no fluid in her, d'oh, gotta get a ride tot he dealer

I just bought a 60mm Greddy temp gauge w/ the warning function for $98. It can be used as either oil or coolant temp. I am using it for coolant. If you get it and use it for coolant temp, I can take a pic of where I mounted the probe. It looks perfect. There is a plug right behind your radiator cap. I took out the plug, drilled and tapped it, and then mounted the probe right there. Oh yeah, I got it @ horsepowerfreaks.com for that price, too.

get the IAT gauge man. it is a good gague. or, get a digital voltmeter for the o2 sensor that fits in the hole. that is a very worth while tool also.

iat stands for intake air temperature. It would be a pretty nice gauge to have.

where/how do you mount this iac at etc? what kind does everyone have? and how much are they?

if it didnt cost over $200, i would, but thats just to much $$ for a gauge. and the 2 channel one i want is like $240, ouch. i already have corbins digital a/f meter too

about the greddy gauge - all my gauges are the autometer ultra-lite series, would like to keep it that way. thanks tho

any other suggestions, whats the next most important gauge... or anyone know where i can get an IAT gauge for less, considering the cost of the ultra-lite, i would consider having one mismatched gauge if it can save me some decent $$

How about a good water temp gauge? At least for the 4g63, RRE says one of the first gauges most people get is water temp. They say the stock gauge is not sensitive enough and might show normal until the last minute when overheating. I don't know if it's an issue with our cars, but I do notice my gauge stays right in the middle no matter what, and I highly doubt the temperature is that constant when driving in 50 versus 100 degree socal weather.
