Has anyone cut away that dark grey plastic in the opening. I am thinking about doing this to get more flow to the fmic. If anyone has done this let me know how it turned out.

You do not need to cut anything. Those front, side side vent pieces are held on there with metal clips. Jack your car up and you'll be able to see the clips, or just reach back there to pull them off.

it is very easy to cut away once the bumper is off. I just used a hack saw blade and went slow and sanded it down when it was done. you will probably have to cut the reinfocement bar down because it will show or you could take it out like i did.

Keep in mind if you cut the bumper you need to cut the bumper support as well. That thing is thick. You will need a jig-saw to do it.

I like the way it looks. Next weekend it sounds like I have a new project on my hands. Thanks for the responses

Doesn't the HRC F/M have an intercooler pipe that goes over the upper front of the core?

I didn't have to cut mine or another guys eclipse. Once you take the bumper off, the grey pieces are held on by some 10mm bolts and little pop things. All you do is remove the bolts and pop the fasteners out and the pieces just come off. No need to cut anything. Just my opinions.

The guy that installed my kit he cut that out. Plus he left out the bumper support cause he said the IC pipe when over the slot for the support to go in...you got me. But my new bumper won't be so open...
