"companies/buissnes' have a habit of making their own terms for shit that is the same as what others have, i.e. vtec and vvti etc. point being they want their standard 16g to sound good so they add super to it, then furter confuse us by saying it has a 10cm2 turbine housing, thats the size my bb502 would use to spool up, way too big for a 2.0, stockers use .50-.60 or 5cm2 - 6cm2, high perf. 7cm2 and 8cm2 drag only. the best thing to find would be compressor maps and turbine maps.

Well yes but they aren't exactly the same although they do the same thing. Toyota has to call their variable cam profile and timing something too, cant use a Honda trademark. Nissan and Mitsu have their versions too (just not here).

Hahn doesn't call it super to make it sound good, its called super because the 10cm turbine housing is larger than any standard 16G turbo including the big 16G. Would you market a turbo called "standard 16G with big turbine housing"? Cant call it "Big" thats already what the previous model EVO's used but its turbine housing isn't 10cm. The Super 16G is not a standard 16G.

Must not be cause they spool below 3000rpms on a 420A and really its not that big. Might be too big if you want a stock like performing turbo (weak top end, overstressed at or unable to maintain high boost, elevated intake temps all for the sake of super quick spool up) but we here like something a little more aspiring. The bigger turbine housing is used because those smaller turbine housings A) can allow boost creep at high boost from backpressure and b) inhibit top end perfomance for the same reason. Big turbo is a safer choice on a factory non-turbo/high compression as well. Larger turbo= a)cooler intake temps b) less engine stressing low rpm high loading. 8cm2 is far from drag only, a competitive drag racers wouldn't even consider it.

I get 18psi by 3400rpm on a S16G if that helps for a reference number. That can be improved on as well with the same turbo.
