29773, Where does the A/F get its readings from (sensors)? long
Posted by pn0ymahal, Aug-23-02 06:06 PM
well tonight i was out and about on the freeway cruising at 85-90mph (open road) so i decided to mash on the gas and boost it up to 9psi once again... well its all good, except my a/f gauge (blinky light, and digital) are still moving around... its not holding onto a # (sometimes it will), and if it does it will start to move around again... also my egt was around 1525-1550 on its way to 1600 but not really there yet, i let off around 1560 give or take since i was past 100mph and there was some cars coming up...i have been having this very odd problem with my stock injectors 235cc every since i installed my ignition in the engine bay, the ignition near the ecu, and the one tach adapter under the fuse box... now i have moved it all into the car so yah... also i checked all my wires i can see and they seem fine... also a side note, sometimes when i go into boost it will hold a # ( .90v min up to .96v) but most of the time its just running around like a mad man.. what sensors, and wires should i check to make sure they are good, and not melted etc...
any advice is is welcome...
thanks

The only thing I could think of would be that your o2 sensor is dead.

the odd part is pretty new...less then 5000 miles if even that.. and if it where bad i would assume it would throw a cel, or would not hold a certain % at wot?... the rear o2 sensor just monitors the info so if anything where bad it would be the front o2?
thanks
