29692, No fuel cut defencer, no missing link -- yet no fuel cut...

Reading through the input on the S-AFC, I'm hitting 4.955 or so when boosting...and I have no fuel cut, without an fcd or a missing link -- I guess I have a mutant car. Any ideas? :-)

How long has it been? Have you gone into boost really slowly w/ a little throttle? That's when mine always cuts.

No, his car is really a mutant. No CEL or anything. He boosts all the time and his MAP steadily and repeatidly goes to +4.9. Crazy...

And it's not like he's a 96 or anything. He's a 99 for goodness sakes. :rolleyes

Ive gone into boost slowly, and I've romped on it. Continueously 4.96 volts...no fuel cut. If I dont needa missing link or a FCD and it's safe, I'm happy -- just curious if anyone could shed light on maybe why

This is a little off topic, but not really. Has anyone ever used the GM 3 bar MAP sensor? I know civic use them when boosting, so the ecu can see the boost. If you guys would like more info, I can post a link. I just think it would be better if you did not need a ML, or VC1 or what ever to trick the ECU. Thanks for all the learning I have done at this board and keep the info coming. :-)

<..so the ecu can see the boost.>

Most people (Ryan_RS not included) with a 96+ don't want the ECU to see boost because it cuts fuel.

I tried it.

I am a 1997 and I see zero fuel cut and i am running 15 psi. Some cars just dont get it. Its weird. But i just got my missing link the other day and I am putting it in anyway just to be safe.

Maybe you guys that get no fule cut should look on your ECU and see if there is some rev letter, or different modle #. Maybe there is something there. I think it would be better if the brain could see boost.
