With it hooked up I get a code.
Primary and Secondary coil fault.
Car hesitates.
I think I have a defective igniton box.
Has anyone else had this problem?
My retard function does not work at all.

With the tach adapters installed, you'll get the codes. That's normal. With the timing retard, you migh want to double-check the wiring. It's very easy to forget mess up here. Are you using the optional MAP sensor, or the yellow wire, for a continuous retarding of timing?

yah make sure the wires all are connected right... my idle was mess up when i 1st started it because i was in a rush to go to work.. it was one wire that screwed me...
