29397, what is the difference between the same turbo but with diff. trim levels Posted by trdberd, Aug-19-02 09:43 AM
ive noticed on some sites that ive visited(specifically NER's turbo section) that they offer the same package of the t3/t4 turbo but i has diff. trim levels like b,c,d or what ever. but on hahns website they only have stages not substages and all use the same turbo what do these different trim levels mean. im just trying to get all the info i can before i decide what kind i want. thanks guys

the trim levels specify the size of the compressor housing b is smaller than E, and E is smaller than S. The larger the compressor housing the more CFM's the turbo will flow into the engine, but too large a housing will also create a lot of lag
