29250, 1:1 FPR questions Posted by 96venger, Aug-17-02 07:52 AM
I was reading about Avenger EST and Murix's car. I am about to put in my 440's or may get something bigger. Should I try the 1;1 FPR setup or should I stay with my sfmu, safc and 440's????? Which one will I have better luck with Keep in mind I do not have any kind of MSD or Crane for timing...
If you think I should go with the 1:1 FPR, where and what kind should I get????
Thanks

I have the Vortech S-FMU. Is there a disc or a way I can make the S-FMU a 1:1 regulator?? If so which disc? then all I would have to do is throw in the 440's and be done??????????

Sorry to add another question to this topic, but it has bugging me.
If I eventually use a 1:1 disc/ring in my Vortech FMU, it is the same as other 1:1 regulators?

I have the regular Vortech FMU that comes with the star turbo kit. I know vortech sells the 3:1 disc/ring and 1:1 disc/ring separately. Each one costs the same as a whole recal kit does. It may be a specially made piece that fit inside.....not sure.
I know the actual pressure rise per pound of boost is not actually the same as disc sizing. Example: my 8:1 disc/ring will probably only raise my fuel pressure 7 psi for every pound of boost. This may not be the case with the 3:1 or 1:1 sold separately.
