Hey guys,

Today I was driving and underpartial throttle I beleive that I was experianceing fual cut, felt like the car was hitting a wall or was hesitiant. Under WOT the car performed normally. I have just recently installed the Missing Link and I fear that it could be this. I am not sure because I dont think that I was under boost and you are only supposed to hit fuel cut under boosted conditions. My car was performing fine before the ML was installed with the VC1 so I am not sure what to do. Can you list some suggestions as to what this could be. I am going to take out the ML and clean it and reset the ECU hoping to clear out the problem. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Like I said this happens only under partial throttle.

Since you have a SAFC, why not check out your check sensor screen????

If it goes over 4.7, then there might be a problem with either your VC1 or your missing link?

have you taken out your VC1 yet?

this is the problem with check valves.. under gradual pressure increases, a check valve won't function. They are perfect under heavy changes in flow and pressure but for partial throttle, they will let boost slip by - the change in pressure is too slight to slap the diaphram shut.

IMHO, the best way to go is a *perfect* voltage clamp or *multiple* check valves.... or sell your car and buy a 95 :thumbsup

You are right about the not having fuel cut if your not boosting. If you aren't seeing boost I don't think it is fuel cut. Or at least fuel cut due to positive manifold pressure. If it doesn't cut out on you at WOT I wouldn't think it is fuel cut. imo

What about a 95 ECU?

OK, here is the scoop. I dont think that it is due to the missing link, and no Dino I dont think I will sell my car to get a 95. Let me describe my situation fully. I live in a high altitude location in the mountains (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) and my car is tuned perfectly there. I have recently driven to a lower area nearer the coast towards seattle. I am wondering if I have the wrong mixture now (would I be running too rich or too lean) or if I had got some bad gas along the way.

My car goes into boost awespme and holds it fine, A/F good EGT's good. But when I go into partial throttle, no boost my car stutters every now and again. Could this be bad gas or poor A/F. The gauge is cycling so I cant tell if I am rich or lean or crap.

Any suggestions would be greatly apprieciated as I am a long way from home or will my ECU adjust itelf to correct the different altitude.

Also Dino, you have a star kit what FCD are you using?

Check your map sensor. Get a voltmeter, and measure across the map leads at the map itslef. With the key turned on, and not running, the map should be at 4.5 volts or very close. Any less than that or more than that, its a bad map sensor. When i had my FCD on there, i was getting 4.01 volts, and i was running to lean at 7 psi of boost, with over 120 psi of fuel! Check your map voltage to see where its at..I would start there at least..My Missing LInk goes into boost smoothly, maybe a hicup or two once in a great while, but MUCH smoother than the FCD that was on there.

Is 4.6 map voltage good? That's what i got when i check mine last weekend trying to figure out my code 51.
