28597, Fluids Question Posted by eclipserider, Aug-09-02 07:15 AM
Hey guys I am taking my car in to get some fluids changed and I need some advice. I am getting the manual tranny fluid, radiator, and oil replaced.
My question is which fluids have you turbo guys upgraded and what companys and fluids are you presently using. I want to make everything synthetic, I am told that is the best and currently the only thing synthetic is my oil (Mobil 1).
Any help is appreciated. Thank you, Thomas.

You're on the right track for engine oil. As far as MT fluids, I lot of people here recommend using ONLY the Mopar MT fluid. Don't even bother with those synthetic MT fluid. As far as radiator go, just get one of those 5year\50,000 mile antifreeze, mix it with the proper ratio with distilled water, and add a bottle of Redline Water Wetter. Good Luck,

Can some one give me the part number for that manual tranny oil. Also are there any other fluids that I am overlooking for the 30000 change.
Thanks, Thomas. 99 GS Star Stage 2

For all other oils then motor oil I recommend finding an Amsoil distributer near you. They have a great synthetic line, and there product is great. And no i am not a distributer.
