28113, My injector install fiasco.....

I want to start off by saying that my stock injectors are still in the car and I am not running 15 psi which I planned to do today. Heres what happened. I got up at about 9am and went over to my friends house. He was installing a walbro 255 in his super charged 98 cobra. I planned on going over there to do my injectors because he used to have a eclipse GS turbo and he has lots of tools. So I get over there and I start taking stuff apart. I had to take off the cruise control to get the passenger side bolt on the fuel rail off and I had to take off the throttle body to get the driver side bolt off. My hands are way to big to get in there and work. It is such a small area to work in. And then it started raining so we had to go inside for a little while untill the storm passed over. It finally stopped raining hard. But it was still a light rain. I decided to work on it anyway even though I was getting wet. I also kepty dropping bolts down behind the engine bay. good thing I had my magnet stick handy! So I finally get the fuel rail out and I put in the new injectors. I get everything back together and I go to start the car. The car wont start. I looked over everything to make sure I put everything back OK. So I took everything back apart and I was going to put my stock injectors back in. I get everything apart AGAIN and the car wont start with the stock injectors either. I was like WTF? So i looke daround and I noticed my cam sensor was off. I guess it came off when I was taking out the FMIC piping. So I hook it back up and it starts andf everything is OK. So I installed injectors twice today for nothing!!!! I am sore and my legs and hands hurt. But tomorrow I am goign to give this another shot. I am very pissed that I had it all installed and I thought the injectors were bad but it was really just the cam sensor was loose. I am not looking forward to doing the injectors again tomorrow for the third time!!! Oh well it has to be done so I can run 15 psi. I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow.

Hey bro there is no need to take off all the stuff you did. All you need is a 1/4 inch drive and the socket. All i ever remove is the throttle cable. loosen the bolts on the back of the rail. I've mentioned this before on here. When you have the fuel rail out cut the tabs off that hold your wiring harness for the injectors. After that file the 2 tabs down. After that you will be able to change out unjectors in about 30-45 minutes late mike

Same happend here with my custom turbo kit, but not with the injectors, thought I had messed up something on the turbo when I first put it on and fired her up..it smoked like a motherfucker! BAD so I took the damn kit off and it still smoked,,,,,,,,here is the kicker,,,,,,,I forgot when I did my compression test that I put a little oil in each cyl....so I installed my turbo kit 2 times in one day...o well live and learn!
