Does anyone know the best dealers for the kits and people that know all about the 420A engines and the cars...period. Must be on the East Coast. I live in CT but will travel to Florida if I must. I have spent already the money on the kit, the install and problems. I want the best. Now after it's all said and done I need them to go over it all and fix what is potentially wrong. My experience is hell. After all this I am 100% done, I'm out. I will never spend to modify a car. I will spend on the high sticker price from now on and go from there. So if you have any of the info I request, please post. Thanx.

That's why I suggest everyone at least try and work on their own cars. 2gnt and chilton's can be a bad ass combo for installing/replacing parts.

You should be able to find a tranny for $400 or less. Installation you can do yourself and save the money.

Avoid extreme like they were lepers with the fucking plague(sorry for the language) the tried to charge me 1400 for a stage 1 HRC install

Howell is good, and they stay late enough that people who have a normal 9-5 job can contact them, and they are pretty good with responding to E-mail too. I highly reccomend them.

ExtremeMotorsports is good for the DSM cars. I wouldnt necessarely agree that their experience on DSM's also applies to our cars. I once took a turbo kit off an eclipse that was installed by Extreme Motorsports and the turbo oil center housing was configured like if it was made for a 4g63 (hanging down) install! (and this was bolted to an hrc manifold!)

I used to do installs of HRC kits, have done for about 3 or 4 people (www.asog.net/kiku) but I wont touch another person's car with a 10foot pole unless they are paying me well.

maybe I should specify on the 1400 thing. they charge 70 an hour for labor 1400/70=20 20 hours for a stage one is bullsh*t

that's why i say avoid extreme to have work done on your car, they'll try to jack you on labor.
