My downpipe is about 1/8th of an inch from my High pressure A/C line that comes out of the compresor. I had to buy a new hose recently because the heat made a hole in it. How close is the DP to your A/C hose? And what (if anything) are you guys doing to protect it?

Mine is close as well, probably more like 1/4". It was about 1/8" away originally, but I bent the A/C lines a bit to give it some more clearence.....

Same here. Mine is about 1/4" away. I have a heat shield wrap around the hose at that location. The heat has left an almost burn't spot on it.

Where did you get the heatsheild wrap?

I got it from a local performance shop called Jegs. You could get it from Summit, or other shops too. I think the brand is called Thermo-Tec. It's like an aluminum tubing that you could cut through it, and just slip it over the hose. Other types have a velco-like enclosure.

Mine is aroun 1/10 on an inch away...I am about to buy some DEI wrap around my hose...get it from summit...it is around 30$...that is engough to wrap your DP in.

Just ordered some thermo tec 3 foot and 1" diameter hose wrap from summit for $20.

BTW. I had one of my a/c lines bent as well. I'm probably a good inch away from my DP.
