27847, regular and 1mm oversize valves need info? Posted by pn0ymahal, Jul-30-02 08:51 AM
i would like to know what would be the main difference from regular and 1mm oversize valves compared to stock? will i gain any power, or does it just flow better? thanks

I'm guessing, but I bet 1mm over is what you do when you've already had a valve job or slightly damaged the valve seat.

That can be true as well, but oversized valves allow more air into the combustion chamber. Its pretty simple really. The more air/fuel you can cram into your engine, the more power you will make. Being boosted, I'd bet you would find a nice power gain from oversized valves. Combining them with a set of cams and upgraded valve train, ahh....that'd be sweet. :D
