27797, Turbo timer/Boost controller question Posted by DSMeclipseGS, Jul-29-02 05:28 PM
I was looking at optauto.com and I was choosing a turbo timer and boost controller. Now I see that The Apex and the Blitz are "automatic", which means they calculate how long to keep the car idling. Is the Greddy one automatic? It doesn't look like it. Is it really much more convinient to get an automatic one? Besides that they are all the same right, just a few cool little features. I don't care about those since I will only be getting a stage 1. Oh yeah, I'm assuming I will need the harness or does it come with the controller?
As for Boost controllers, the greddy profec B looks good. I only have a stage 1 (later stage 2) so I don't need a crazy advanced controller and the others are redculously high in price. Are my assumptions right? Thanks for the help.
If anyone has a used greddy boost profec B controller in excellent condition let me know. Thanks for your time guys.

Couple of things here. IMO go with the apexi TT with a/f O2 sensor voltage. That way you can get your rich lean in the same unit as the TT. If your not going to go high boost someday I would say the profecB is over kill. If your only going to stage 2 boost then all you really need is a manuel boost controller. (they are pretty cheap) You will need to buy the harness seperate but they are $10-$15. Buy the harness for the 2g turbo car. They have the same ignition wiring.
