If I were to get the a stage 1 turbo and then save up for say a Greddy big front mount intercooler, would that let me boost any extra than a stage 2 kit? Or would it just make it a little safer? How much and were could I get the IC piping if I did this? And how much can I get a new Greddy FMIC for? Used? What would the price comparison be:

stage 1 kit, greddy FMIC, piping

VS.

stage 2 kit

Correct me if I am wrong but isnt a stage 2 a FMIC mostly?!?

a stage 2 is a just a side mount intercooler ( front mount is $400 more) it allows you to boost more ( about 9psi) and run a bit cooler.. if you want a greddy fmic you got to find out the size and find your own local welder to do the pipes.. i would ask people who have custom fmic with there hrc kits on the list, or just buy one from hrc direct.. i got my turbo when the fmic was on sale a long time ago... hope this helps

yes i got the hrc fmic. i got it when it was all on sale i believe i paid $300 only for the fmic then, now its $400. give hrc a call and ask if they will sell it alone.
