I am getting a catch can this weekend, I was just wondering if it is normal to have a bit of oil dripping all the time? (when boosting of course) I just got done with a LONG pull through 3rd and when I stopped there was alot of oil that had drained out. Is this ok????
When I say alot I mean since I installed the turbo I have went through 1/2 quart of oil, not from use but from the oil draining out the breather line. I have the line just running to the ground now.

Well i have a catch can, and i get very little oil in it really. I have never drained it, and the level of oil in it rarely goes up. I have had the boost anywhere from 6 to 9 psi for a while now, and i have done some good long, hard pulls and races with it..not much more oil in the catch can..I have heard its not uncommon to get a shot glass full of oil on really hard, long pulls..Try keeping your oil level about halfway down on the dipstick full mark..that might help. If you have large amounts of oil, you are getting too much blow by in the engine, not good

No, compression was good accross the board, between 185 and 190 on all cylinders. Do you think that it could be in part the bad turbo seals? When I took my turbo hoses off today and reved the turbo up, I could literally see the oil spray comming out of the compressor housing. It was not like a stream but a small mist, also I am getting a bit of oil on my BOV.... so I know for sure that the seals are bad in my turbo. :( good news is that I have almost NO shaft play at all, you can just barly and I mean barly move the shaft back and forth, so the guy at turbo city said it would only cost like $113 to make the turbo like new.
