so do u think it is an advantage if i buy a stage 1 turbo then buy a greddy inter cooler which will give me a stage 2 turbo? or is the inter cooler that comes with the stage 2 the best for the turbo what do you think.

A front mount intercooler is always a good thing because it does a better job of cooling the air going into the engine, but it will also give you a little more pressure drop. If you're planning on building the engine up and running higher boost, you'll be glad you have a FMIC, and you'll save some cash by buying it now as opposed to later. You can also buy the Stage II kit and for $400 more (I think, check the website) you can get the HRC FMIC and piping.

so if i decide to get the stage II i can get one with either a front mount inter cooler($3,295) or a side mount inter cooler($2,895) of course the front mount is the best one but why would i want to consider getting a side mount inter cooler beside the amount of $$$

More boost with FMIC over SMIC.

Plus the ability to scare the hell out of your enemy with one look at the FMIC.

How would he see the front mount unless he was in front of you?

But he's right, Front mounts look nice.

It really comes down to the age old question:
"Do I have the $$$ to do this now?"

I use the BOV test. roll up next to the guy, if he hits his BOV, change lanes and leave the street to pine for boost. then go find a civic!
