27288, HRC fuel line to stock fuel line... Posted by eclipsekaiser, Jul-24-02 10:05 AM
has anyone come up with a better connection for the inline pump to the stock fuel line.
I'm a little curious about the ability of those 2 clamps to hold onto the stock fuel line.
Any thoughts, comments.

Yes, in fact, I was able to replace the rubber line there with an Aeromotive SS Fuel line with either a 6 AN or a 4AN Aeromotive fitting. The stock hard feed line there also has a female fitament for an AN fitting. It's nice and tight there with no more worries.
More importantly, I was constantly anal about fuel line kinks down there. Save for the line from the fuel filter to the fuel tank assembly, it's all SS down there now. I just cut back some of the SS line where necessary if I needed to use hose clamps. Otherwise, I tried to employ AN fittings everywhere.

Well, since it's all put back together, there's not much to look at with the shield below the inline fuel pump and such. However, I will try and get a picture of the SS fuel line mating with the stock fuel line.
