Ok I know now that my CAT is dead, after the turbo is on my exhaust is actually quieter, and does not rev up as fast until the turbo spools, So I am going to gut that bitch tommorow! I also have a boost leak somewhere, I think it is in the hose connections. I get into second gear, and it hits 5 psi, then at about 4500 rpm it drops off slowly to 3 psi. This = less power for sure. In fact at those levels of leakage It almost seems like my car is slower than it was before the turbo was on. (I know this is not true, but you know how it goes, you feel alot of power then a drop so it seems like your alot slower than before). Other than that It rocks! O yea I was kinda peeved today, my down pipe was $200......that sucked for sure!

All in All I am only up to about $1500 total out of pocket(this includes the guy who ripped me off for $120 on an intercooler). Not too bad huh! :)

That definitely sounds like a boost leak. You should check the i/c pipings (at the connections). Also, check or retighten the exhaust manifold bolts. Those tend to come loose a lot, especially in the beginning.

well, a turbo is the best resonator you can buy ;). everyones car got quieter after putting a turbo on. likewise, since you now have a big "cork" in the exhuast, off-boost revs are going to be slower.

gutting the cat and/or opening up the exhuast will help this tho
