What are you guys using for plug wires? I had a set of Firewires (Crane) but they became a partial set :( . And I found out that 15psi and 10 passes at thet strip will destory a set of stock wires. I have a set of 8.5mm MSD's coming, but I was wondering what everyone else is having luck with.

I got the Accel Thundersport 300, but then again, I'm only at 3-4 psi :P I did a resistance test on the stock and the Accel wires a while back. The stock came to around 3000 ohms, while the Accel registered at barely 92 ohms.

I also use the msd 8.5 mm superconductors. They rock. Iused to run the ngk wires, but had problems with them misfiring. I've not had any problems with these wires and have had them for almost a year

hey dude, i got the crane also, for about hmmm 8 months on 7-9psi so far so good... what happen to yours?

Try the Nology wires...

They supposedly have capacitors in some point, and they store the unused energy, and when it is needed, it uses the stored energy which equals a bigger spark...

Anyone think this is fake or doesn't work.. tell me..

Engine bay temps are my biggest concern. Most of the wires I looked at are good to 500-600 degrees. That's just not enough. I found some nice Accel 11mm :o wires that are good for 1200 degrees. Too bad they only make them for Honda's. If I had an Odysee minivan, I'd be all set...

You need to reduce underhood temps, if your burning through silicon plug wires your def gonna go through all the other electrical wiring very soon. I would get a "w" or cowl hood or something, even just remove the black rubber strip near the top of the hood by the windshield that will redudce temps a bit.

I'm not burning through the silicone wires, but I am breaking them down pretty quickly due to cylinder head/spark plug temps. I'll see how the MSD's work and go from there I guess. Maybe that's all I need. I do need to reduce under-hood temps though.
