26857, SAFC problems are contagious i guess! Posted by Nitrous_RS1997, Jul-18-02 11:08 PM
well, after fighting to get my friends car running right, mine starts acting up on me this morning. it started up, but was running unusually rough. it would try and bog down when I hit the gas, and i just thought maybe it was cause the engine was still cold. got going down the road, engine is up to running temp now, and i look at my A/F gauge, at it is not cycling back and forth like it should. its cycling a little, but only between .97 and .94, that is EXTREMELY rich. just last night it was cycling fine. you think my O2 sensor has crapped out on me? i got into boost once, and the damn thing smacked 1.0 on the A/F, shouldnt be that high. or could it be the SAFC? also, on the pressure sensor reading, i am at 6in-6out. there are two other settings on the same menu, Hot-wire and something else. what does everyone have theirs set at on these? 0in-0out or 1in-1out? thanks for any ideas.

the only thing that matters is pressure, as we have a pressure type sensor. the AFC doesn't even look at those.
I think it's your O2 sensor.
7in7out will probably give you more accurate pressure readings..

so it doesnt matter what the other two sensor types are set on? cause both the others are at 1in-1out on mine and when i switch one to 0in-0out, there is noticeable difference in idle. hmmmm....gonna replace that O2 tomorrow to rule it out.
