26849, making an insulation wrap for the turbo? Posted by DarKReaLity, Jul-18-02 02:23 PM
do you guys think there's something in homedepot that's good enough to insulate the turbine exhaust side of the turbo besides expensive ass thermo tec?

Off topic- do you like your Unorthodox UDP??? Any comments?
I'm not sure what you could buy from Home Depot that would insulate up to about 2000 degrees. I think that summit or jegs actually sells a turbo insulator of some sort. I don't remember how much, but it didn't strike me as terribly expensive. (don't worry I'm a tight ass too, uh frugal I mean)

You can buy a T3 heat sheild at turbo tech. Its $60 and it goes over the turbo housing perfectly. Look for the Attention Star owner post!

I heard summit sells some type of bag looking thing that can go over the turbo and it keeps the heat in the bag.
