Well I purchased a TurboXS Type-H-RFL Blow off valve about 1 month ago and hooked it up..everything was working..but the other day I noticed that my bov lost it's loud 'WOOOOSH' noise..and it is no longer loud..I checked the nuts and bolts and stuff..everything was tight..anyone have an idea of what might be wrong? Any info is appreciated..Thanks guys

Have you tried to make any adjustments? The BOV might be set too "hard" or too "soft." If the spring is set too high, you might not be boosting enough to "blow-off" with that loud wooosh. That could also cause pressure surge, which could damage the turbo; or if it's set too low, then it might be leaking boost from the BOV. Just something to check out.

rev it up from the engine bay, and feel if there is air coming out from the bov? if not then you got a boost leak somewhere.. check intercooler pipes etc...

How much boost are you building/running? From what i have heard, that BOV needs higher boost to make it sound really loud. Prob wont be that loud with boost under 7 psi i would think? anyone else?

A lot of factors could cause this. If your not hearing the sound you are used to, and everything is connected(bolts, vac line, etc..) then start looking elsewhere. Check ALL the vac lines, and make a tester and test for leaks by building up pressure. If it turns out thats not the prob, which it probably is, then you need to check your cars codes. See if your throwing abnormal codes th at could affect the engines performance, like, Timing belt skipped one tooth or more, etc... If your timing is not correct, it will affect a lot, but one thing it will affect is the BOV for sure. Happened to me, tuned the cam gears, got all my probs worked up with a couple clicks of the gears. Other than that, I'd check the plugs, wires, etc.. all the ignition shit as well. Then come back to us and tell us what you've found out.
