26728, S-FMU vaccume restrictor Posted by mitsudsr, Jul-17-02 05:54 AM
Does the vaccume hose from the intake manifold to the vaccume port on the s-fmu need the restrictor that is supplied to be installed? I just can't seem to get enough fuel pressure. With it not installed and with there just a strait line going to the s-fmu, will this cause low static fuel pressure. I am having my mechanic try the other spring that comes with it right now, but he was still curious about the vaccume line. Please need some quick feed back here. Thanks, Patrick

You know, i asked Corbin about the same thing, cause i didnt get one with my used SFMU, and he says that it should be fine with out it really. All it does is smooth out the airflow through it to let the FPR rise more evenly, but not a drastic amount. Its only like 6 bucks from Vortech..
