I was just wondering if I was the only one who used heavy duty diesle truck radiator hoses to couple my piping? What did you use? Also question about the radiator hose on top ~ Did any of you insulate it? my DP is about 4 inches away.....wondering if I should wrap it?

Thats what i used also. Not sure if it was a radiator hose for a truck, but it was the perfect size for my piping, and has absolutely no leaks..much cheaper alternative to silicon couplers..works just as well..

I got mine from a truck shop here in town,....but NAPA has all the hoses that you could ever want. When I went there I almost ordered but a guy came in and told me that the local semi truck shop had some that were a bit more heavy duty, so I went there. I think that 2 hoses were going to cost about 25$. And that was for 2 90 degree, 1 at 2.5 ID, and one at 2.25 ID. Hope that helps.

I went to Autozone, and i looked through about all they had, and finally found one that was their largest of 2" ID, but that was all i needed. I used one hose, and got 4 couplers out of it, cost like 8 bucks :) They didn't have anything larger ID wise though..

www.roadraceengineering.com sells nice thick rubber hose by the foot. I use it on my car. And the 90 degree bend I have I got a discount auto parts.

5-layer reinforced silicone for the big dogs :-) I went from blowing off qutozone ones, napa, pep boys, home depot, blah blah.. then i wised up and did it right, and i havent had a prob since. But for lower boost levels, radiator hose is just fine if you have good beads on your IC piping.

I bought all my hoses from napa. You need to make sure that you have good beads rolled on your pipes. Another key to building your own set up is to avoid making a hose connection on a bend at all costs. You want the pipes to but together in a straight section as much as possible.late mike
