Well after a hard night of beating on the clipse, on the way home, i notice i'm not getting any boost, and no sounds like i did before. Here is what i checked, and all of it was OK. I check for obviuse boost leaks at all my couplers and connections-none at all, i didnt hear any hissing either..I check the BOV, and its working properly too, as i thought it might have been stuck open, but no sounds from that, just a little his when i shift, so i know thats working. Pulling normal vacum, and fuel pressures also. No vac hose leaks or anything. This led me to believe the wastegate is possibly stuck open? Is this possible? This is all i can think of that would cause this. I tried pulling on the actuator rod, and couldn't seem to make it move forward or backward...should i be able to do that? I didn't try a whole lot of force on it, but a decent amount. Is it possible to burn up the internal wastegate? If someone can shed some light on this, i would realllllyyyy apprectiate it! Damn, no boost sucks ass :( All this right after i finally got my SFMU installed and running awsome..

I'm not sure, but you might wanna check your boost controller.....

I checked the boost controller, and its ok. Even if that was the case, i would think i would still see the 5 psi that the wastegate is set for. The turbo spins freely too, i also cheked that.

last night i had no boost also all of a sudden... i hit a railroad at 45mph and the clip came out, that was a pain to get cuz i had to go 3-4 stores... anyways it could be in some how your wastegate, make sure the shaft is cool and make sure the pointy thing coming out from the shaft is in the hole of the rod... with a clip...check the vacuum lines behind the intake manifold and the s-fmu vacuum is hook up right... is the restrictor in the s-fmu vacuum line? make sure the ports on the side of the s-fmu are correct... last thing i can think of would be the turbo?

Funny you mention the rail road thing..i went over some good ones tonight too, but i still had boost. I only noticed it when i was driving normally, just using light boost, then i noticed my BOV wasn't making the normal loud pshhtt sound, and the boost gauge only went to 1 psi at the most...Its gotta be my wastegate...I'll check to see if that pin is in there..If its out, wont the whole actuator rod just hang there, not connected?

well if the rod (hole) is not connected to the shaft the right way i could see u having problems... my rod got disconnected from the shaft so i had 0 boost.. and my idle was a bit odd, i was running a bit rich sometimes, and my bov sounded sometimes and very weird ...like i said, make sure the shaft is cool, and the rod (on both ends) and if your looking from under the car push the rod(on the side where it connects to the shaft) up slowly just to make sure its in place... but also make sure the cotter pin etc is at the bottom in the hole under it all... let us know...

I don't know if this has anything to do with his problem but I experienced the same thing last night. My BOV would quietly go off or not even go off at all after I got done at the night races at the track. My problem was that I slightly blew off one of the pipes going to my intercooler and it also barely pushed the elbow connection off of the bottom of my turbo to where it would only leak under WOT. Might be something to check out if you haven't already.

Should i be able to move the wastegate actuator rod by hand? You know, to simulate how the actuator would move it? From what i could tell, the rod is hooked up, and i really couldn't move it by hand by using some force, not a whole lot of force, but decent amount..

Man I got here too late. I knew what it was from the beginning. Not because I'm an expert but because this has happened to me a couple times. I have NO pin on mine so... Took a while to figure out too cause you can't see it.
