Well, I'm in the in the middle of installing my kit and I've run into a wall. I'm having difficulties taking off the oil sending unit (electrical connector). I got the red tab to "unlock" now how the hell do I take it off?!?!? I spent almost 2-3 hours yesturday trying to take it off. I just gotta run the oil line, cut the downpipe, mount the turbo, tee the vacuum lines and I'm done! Anyone in the Northern VA/DC/MD area wanna come out Thursday and give me a hand? I need to get it done by Saturday so I can move my car out of the garage before my parents come home...heehee. Thanks!

you have to press down on the harness release tab, then wiggle the harness back and forth till you get it out. to get the actual oil sending unit out, u shuld go to local auto parts store and pick up the oil pressure sender removal socket which is made specifically for that reason. mine was 6 bux at pep boys. hope that helped.

just feel around on the harness portion where it connects to the sending unit till u feel a slight flex in the platic, thats the tab, then just wiggle the shit out of it. when i was taking mine out i didnt think it was the right tab either, but as soon as i pulled hard enough, it came out.

By the way, it is easier to get to under the car, with the crossmember and downpipe off, according to Dino anyways. :)

Thanks for the help guys! I figured it out tonight. The hardest part was trying to get a wrench in there to tighten the fittings....total PITA! I got the oil feed line ran, prepped the turbo and got the oil dump tube on. So tomorrow I just gotta cut the down pipe, do my vacuum lines, connect the charge pipe and BOV and I"m all in! Anything I should check the 1st time I start her up? All my fuel fittings are really tight and I used teflon paste on EVERY fitting. Hopefully nothing will leak! Wish me luck!

Jeremy Before starting it the 2st time you should disconnect your ignition and try to start 2-3 times without ignition, just to raise you oil pressure in your new lines up to the turbo

Do this: there's a little connector that goes into your igniton pack on the right had side (driver's side). Just disconnect that and try to start her up!
