26072, SFMU people! Need help asap...

Well i finally got my SFMU back from its rebuid, but i dont have the "restrictor" piece you are supposed to put in line with the vacum line connection. Do i have to have this installed? Vortech says this restrictor piece limits the amount of boost pressure the SFMU will see, and it wont work right without it. Everyone agree with this? I dont want to try to install this if i dont have that piece yet. Thanks for the help.

Dude, I don't know. Try installing it without it and check your fuel pressure and vacuum, if it's okay then go with it. Or if you don't want to take any chances, I'm sure you can get it from Vortech. Sorry I can't help more.

Yeah, i dont want to chance it, so i'm getting the restrictor next dayed to me tomorrow..only 6 bucks for it...I have been waiting almost a month now for this damn sfmu to be put on..I will never buy anything used off of the net again :( BTW, the sfmu i bought was all fucked up..stripped threads on lots of it, missing parts, ect..Hopefully i'll get this installed tomorrow to see what boost feels like with the proper fuel pressures..

The inline restrictor doesn't limit the amount of pressure the S-FMU sees. All it does is make the pressure wave go through a really tiny opening before getting to the S-FMU. This will just minimize fuel pressure spikes from pressure waves in the vacuum lines. Don't expect it to have a great effect on the performance of the S-FMU. You can run without it.
