ok if you buy a used turbo kit what should you look for so that it will run good.also the oil retrn line if it sits with the little bit of oil in it for a wile will it get all nasty and start to colgit up.i was just asking case i dont know thankx

ask how many miles are on the turbo, see if the shaft has any play, it should only turn, not wobble. other wise just check out the general condition of the kit, rust, hole's. do the parts need to be redecked b/c theyre warped? i've heard people having to reflatten their manifolds a few times just to get them straight. and i'd replace vac and oil tubing w/ new lines, it's cheap so why not. a friend of mine got a used kit for about 2k, but damn was it used, the downpipe had about 100 welds in it, the whole thing leaked everywhere and looked like ass. get pics before you but it.

If its the star kit the turbo shouldnt have any wobble play to it. But if you have the HRC kit the turbo will have a slight wobble to it. All mitsu turbos have a little play to them. The major difference is the look of the parts. Of course a new kit will look better. But that nice look only lasts abouty acouple weeks untilll it starts to look rusty and stuff.
