Brothers, i got some issues, i drive my car to work everyday 40 miles there, and 40 miles back 5 days a week, and like ever since i had my turbo, ive kept having little problems, sometimes i would have to take my moms minivan to work because my car has problems, and the minivan just doesnt get as many chicks and as many races.....but thats besides the point, you guys are probally wondering...WELL TELL US THE PROBLEMS YOU HAVE, i would, i did before about like about how theres not a smooth acceleration in the hot weather and stuff like that, but now theres jus to many problems to list, like my idle flutters, up and down, up and down, when i accelerate, it doesnt feel smooth, it hesitates, when i turn on my ac, car barely moves at all, i have to get into boost just to get the damn thing moving, and other minor problems, but i dunno guys, ill try to hang in there, im out.....oh, i changed spark plugs, wires, more times than i can remember, compression numbers are 190 all the way across, and i run 92+ octane

dude, before u went turbo you should have know you will run into small problems.. what you mention is normal to a point.. if u turn on the ac stock or with turbo the car is slow is one thing...also your auto like me but i got a super 16g turbo not a t3/4 turbo, reason i did not get the star or ner kit because im auto and i want some power for street use.. i drove a star kit stage 2 with that t3/4 with auto and i did not like it since i could not get power till about 5k about... get a honda but dont expect to go fast...

I had a honda. 1986 CRX si. Acura integra 1.6 motor. car was worth maybe 1500$ and had more than 4 grand in shit. and that is what hte car was .... shit...it would go for a lil car but a honda has nothing on the eclipse... snap a pic of a civic/then look at your eclipse look at the civic then eclipse again. realize the truth...the civic is civil looking car...the eclipse is a evul looking car...stay with 2gnt.
Life is a bitch. Slap it around a little.

Buy the Honda, then be like everyone else who has one. I have a good friends that drive some really respectable Hondas (13's all-motor) and they have problems just like I do. The idle being funny probably needs a day of cleaning and checking stuff out. Usually idle is something simple like vaccuum, crap on the butterfly, and every now and then a sensor. I'll give you a news flash too, EVERY CAR IS SLOW WITH THE A/C ON! Stick with the 2g. and live outside the mainstream.

I do the same thing dude i dive 55 miles back and forth so like 110 miles a day and sometimes on weekends so i bought a crx for commuting purposes only maybe my drag car later. So don't give up thouse are normal type stuff my sister has a gs-t she has the same problems but worst we replace the engine, and theres no way you'll talk her out of giving up her baby. she drives close too 100 miles one way. it will all work out thats just the pain of boost, i don't want to see another brother go down like so many.
Good luck

some of these problems like being slow are just a case of turbo spoiled. Lets face it before putting on a turbo the car barely moved with the ac on and didn't have any power at low rpms. Hell after a few months of 50 extra hp from 4000rpms up it just feels alot worse than it used to. Idling problems are common to turbo and non turbo 2GNTs, everybody's had a funny acting idle at one time or another if they've had the car long enough. Sh*t my car is the king of small problems (wheel bearing, brake caliber, off timing, missing parts ect) but 160K miles will do that. Turbo will bring problems to the fore front though. I had a leaking overflow reservior and the car never overheated NA. The minute I put the turbo on it overheated which is how I found out I had a problem. My EGR pipe never melted any wires either until I got a turbo (which is why I have a 2nd car now).

So far the only problems I've had with a HRC stage I is the cartech POS. I replaced it with an SFMU and no problems. I still have the stock internals with 30k on them. Turbo does one thing.. it makes you ALOT more aware of what your car is doing and it gives you a better understanding of it.
I picked up a beater car myself for going back and forth to work. I drive my car when I go for a cruise or to shows.
If you want a honda, buy one for a commuter car. :)
