Will running rich make your car jerk under boost? Or do i have another problem, from what i understand there are a few guys out there that are running rich and seem to run smoothly. However after about 200 miles of changing my plugs they load up real bad, and i get a spudder even at idle, like it is misfiring. I also keep blowing my gasket between the turbo and the Downpipe (next time no gasket gonna be used), but can this cause the problem too? Thanks guys, for the help.

yes, running too rich can cause your car to jerk. If you want to use a gasket for the downpipe (if it is a super mitsu turbo) use a 2.5" soft aluminum gasket. I just had to bore out the bolt holes a little bit, and it seals fine.

From personal experience, running rich could make the car "jerk," but once you get pass that "sticky" point, the car usually pulls hard.

i have the same problem. but would this also cause a cel to come on? i was driving with no cels, then all of the sudden the car "jerks" then look down and the cell is on. coincidence? i think not. and what should i do to lean out the system? buy a different disk for the vortech fmu or just dump it and get a vortech s-fmu? tia.

First of all you better think about running a free flowing exhaust. The back pressure might be causing you to run extremely rich and also blow out that gasket. Once you have a complete flow through exhaust from the turbo back, then lets talk about being too rich. I think your problems will be solved.
I think this was brought up before a few times. I find it hard to believe a star stage 1 running too rich at 6 psi and no intercooler. Too much carbon in the plugs etc. etc.
Do the exhaust!!! also if you still have the stock cat, gut it-buy a test pipe-go very high flow. gotta get rid of the stock cat! If you have your dump tube welded into your downpipe, much more of a reason to have a free flowing exhaust.
I am speaking for Star stage one guys here....stage II can benefit as well.
This is all assuming that you are still using stock injectors*****
