Well I just put my Stage 1C NER kit on layaway and I was thinking about just going with a 1G sidemount or a starion FMIC, but some of the guys in my car club told me that it would be a lot easier and efficient to go with a supra sidemount instead. Im wondering if anyone here has used one of these and how much should I expect to pay for it. Also how much boost will this thing be good for (if that is a stupid question I apologize), as in how much boost should I be able to push before it starts becoming inefficient and i should upgrade to a front mount?? TIA

starion intercooler workin great for me. I think the starion is better than the supra it's supposedly the largest intercooler to go on a production car in the US that is (hehe the EVO or skylines will put the starion to shame). That NER intercooler is badass you can't go wrong with that. it's like 3 times as big as a starion and it's been engineered to have the least amount of pressure drop from what i've heard. Just slap on any intercooler you can find hehe, having an IC is better than no IC. Go to a junkyard and look for turbo cars. The supra might be a good deal though since it doesn't have to be modified so much.

Andy had the supra SMIC on his GSX, and that thing felt nice. The way he talked, it's pretty damn big. I would rather have the starion fmic tho, b/c the look.

Steven, I completely forgot that andy was using the Supra SMIC. I remember looking at his car on campus one day and checking out how huge that damn thing was. I dunno though, Im just looking for something cheap right now, I plan on going with the NER intercooler eventually.

You could also check out http://www.indyracecores.com/. Real high quality stuff and very good prices. They already do a lot of work with DSM's.

Running 7-8 psi on the 1G side mount IC, and works great for me. You can find lots of them on Ebay for around 50 bucks, give or take. Fits pretty nice behind the driver's side bumper, and some custom bent piping is all you need to get rollin. They say this IC is good for like 15 psi..
