I have the autometer blinky led light dealy-o, and most people say to have the WOT A/F ratio in the green leds(rich). I believe the gauge has 7 or 8 green rich led's, and at wot, i'm at like the second to the last one on the gauge. I know for a fact my fuel pressures are too rich, hell im getting like 70 psi at almost 1 pound of boost, but at 6 psi boost, it holds to around 95-100 psi..it just rises way to fast. I'm getting the sfmu in this week, so as i fine tune it, if need be, what should i look for on the A/F gauge? I always thought Stoich was where you should be for max power, and proper A/F ratio..Can ayone clairify? What led on the gauge would be too dangerous(obviously the red ones)?? I will prob hook up a digital multimeter also when i tune, so what exact voltages should i see for max power, without the chance of running too lean? Thanks for any input.

you want the blinky light gauge to be in the green. not stoich. corbins digital gauge would be a LOT easier for you to tune with. on it, around .92-.97 is the range you wanna be in safely. stoich would be in the .8's, and thats cutting it a little close. when i had a blonky light gauge, it would hit the very last green led.

hey i was wondering about my new a/f gauge but i didnt get aroudn to asking yet because i didnt think it was important enough to deserve its own thread haha. so i havent installed my custom set up yet but i was bored so one morning while at work i went out back and installed the autometer sportcomp a/f gauge. so is the only time you are supposed to get accurate readings is when your basically at WOT??? when i am just idleing, or just cruising down the freeway at freeway speed or cruising down a calm street, it just dances all over the place. the leds just go back and fourth and there doesnt seem to be much sense to make of it, but when i am gasing it or really racin...it shoots up into the green and does its little slowwwww variation/fade but always still in the green. i hope my description makes some sense. if this is how it is supposed to be then i am cool with that, i just wanted to be sure. (maybe i did a shitty job wiring the purple wire in with the white/blackstripewire?) my passengers on the other hand might not be so cool with it, everyone trips their ass's off about why the thing just goes crazy all the time.

Yes, its supposed to go all over the place when at less than 80% throttle. when its doing this, it means the computer is in closes loop, and is monitoring the o2 sensor for best A/F mixture. When at 80% or more throttle, the comp goes into open loop, and relys on pre-programed fuel curves for WOT driving. Only when you are in open loop, will the A/F gauge read steady..
