i have had my turbo for a little over a month now and when i go WOT it rattles. At first i thought it was the exhaust but later i realized it was coming from the under the hood. The mechanic told me it was the wastegate wtf. He said theres nothing i can do about it.Anybody else have this problem.

Shit i hope thats not whats wrong with mine... when i rev up a lil bit and it dropss to around 1200RPMS again it rattles like hell for a second. but after that it stops..sounds like and exhasut rattle. think its the wastegate?

You (blackwidow) have an internal WG so I don't see how it can get an exhaust leak like his external is.

no. I am not saying I have a leak. I was thinking maybe the WG door or sumthing could be rattling. But i have looked into it more...it sounds like it is coming from under my battery to the left...maybe from EGR

the sound while boosting is most likely caused by your WG not being welded back into the downpipe. way back when i had a wastegate dumped to the atmosphere, it sounded like a huge ass rattle when it started opening up. you could also just have a loose bolt somewhere in the exhaust. raide your hood, rev your engine, and have somebody watch to try and see something odd.
