Pretty positive that is a 1:1 regulator.

yeah I'm pretty sure it's a 1:1. For that price get the vortech... plenty of experience with it around here so you'll have good support.

ummm ok cool but when you mean 1:1 what do you mean and when i go to the vortex fmu site what does like4:1 and 6:1 and10:1 what does that do or mean. YOu know like you guys did say before i dont know enough to do a cuztom setup so that is why i am asking so much question
someone else one of my friends told me that the b&m pump is good that i cut off mines and then just attach the b&m directly to it what do you guys think
thank for the help please give me some more info an vortech i need to get these things by end of week
thanks

1:1, 4:1, 10:1, ect... is the rise rate. If you have a 10:1 disk in it will raise your fuel pressure 10 psi for every 1 psi of boost pressure. The B&M isn't a boost sensing rise rate regulator. Stick w/ the Vortech.

and how much hp are his fmu good for since they use the stock fpr
thanks
bossting next week hopefully guys

hey guys i was reading corbin site and i learned taht vortech the normal one are not able to be adjusted so if i get one i can't adjust it now how do i find out if the one that this place is selling is adjustable since i am gettnig a godo deal on it $220 for walboro 255 high pressure and the fpr to my fromt door for $220 what do you guys think does it really matter wich i get what do you guys recomend
in 2 months ill begetting S-afc and i am getting 450 stock from gs-t i heard that they do fit on our cars i am going to try them and see if they do will the fpr the pump and injectors be good for 5psi on a turbo that flows like 800 cfm????
thank you (member withouth intercooler )

If you are getting bigger injectors (GST ones won't work) then I'd say get the Vortech SFMU. You will NOT be getting a walbro and SFMU for $220 though (new). It costs like $260 for just the regulator. It sounds like you are trying to get the B&M reg plus walbro package. You need to stop shopping at the 4G63 places ;)

reading fortune...."I see a blown motor in your future" (say it in a creepy gypsy voice)
You have got to slow down and do more research. You can't just grab any turbo, FPR, injectors, and pump and expect it to work. Every part of this system has to work together. Walbro pumps cost $125. They work very well at lower fuel pressures under 90 psi. Run fuel pressures over 100 psi and you're asking for trouble. The FPR that you choose must have the right ratio. What ratio you choose depends on the turbo's needs, how big the injectors are, and must take into account the limitations of the pump. Whether you choose an adjustable one, is up to you. The Vortech FMU is not adjustable and needs the stock FPR in place to hold idle pressure. The Vortech S-FMU is adjustable and can stand on its own(no stock FPR). You should know that the ratio's that Vortech quotes (10:1, 8:1) are estimates and they are often much lower than that. The S-AFC will just add to the confusion as it adds a whole new dimension of tuning. 450 cc/min injectors from a GS-T will not work in our car without a resistor pack. They are the wrong style of injector. We use saturated injectors and the GS-T uses peak and hold injectors.

>ummmm ok ok cool but i am not trying to use the B&M i was >trying to buy this one >http://dsmtrend.com/~dsmtrend/cgi-bin/cart.cgi/AM-100.html
I gaurantee you that is a 1:1 FPR. I'm using one right now for a very different setup (8 injectors). You're only real choices now are the FMU and S-FMU. I really suggest the S-FMU since you can control the pressure at idle. This lets you run bigger injectors without running rich at idle (without a S-AFC). It also gives you more control over your boosted fuel pressures. Read up on it here: http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/pdf/manuals/superfmuim.pdf
>help on wich to get and if i do get it will it be good >enough for future when i get 500 hp in like 15 years from >now
I wouldn't worry about at this point. I'm sure you'll want a much more hi-tech fuel system when you hit 500hp.
>and whast you were saying before about the S-afc when you >say confussion meaning it will not work with car if get fmu >???? cuz those things look raw and i wanna get one haah lolz >:)
The S-AFC does look sweet. It will work fine no matter what FPR you get. I'm just saying, you're going to have enough trouble putting together this fuel system without worrying about a S-AFC. It seriously takes alot of work to put together a good fuel system from scratch. A big issue here is that you are using a turbo that few people, if any, here have experience with. I really don't know what its fuel requirements will be. I suggest that you don't install all this shit next week. Read through my fuel pages on this site. Read through the "things we've seen before" section of the board. It can get really complex. If you switched to a turbo used in one of the Star or HRC kits, you could have a fuel system in 5 minutes.
Whichever way you go, an EGT is necessary and an A/F doesn't hurt.

HOLY SHIT god no please do not start installing next week. i do not mean to insult you in any way at all, i just dont want you to be without a car bro. i have been studying this whole turbo game on here for many months now, and i think i have finally reached a point to where i can get this done successfully, and i STILL havented ordered a manifold from alain yet so i probably wont be getting this shit done for at least another month or so. what i am sayin is that you are just at the begining of the questions. the fuel system, thats one side dish fromm the whole thanksgiving dinner. so please please please sloooooow your roll, and do what i did, read every god damn post in the archives, and then ask questions. i think thats a good way to come up on some major respect very quick-like around here. i think if everyone took the time and patience to read through all of that stuff like i did, we would have an even more powerful and amazing 2gnt community here. i love it here, this place is my answer to anything with my car, which in return ends up making it the answer to alot in life heh. cant do much without a car, dont forget about that when you plan on takin it apart. oh and when your reading the archives and gettin info from people on here, i suggest you open up a "notepad" file and start copying and pasting every bit of info you think you will need in the future so you can easily go back to that info when your shit is torn apart in your garage. i learned to do this because i have a huge problem with retaining technical info, and it solved the prob. late.

I would have to agree here bro slow down and do some research. A turbo car is cool. a broken car is not cool. and btw i think howell is unloading walbro's for like 99$ or something right now without a group buy.
