Right now Im going through fear factor 1 on the turbo install. Case and Point 1. Should I attempt to install this thing on my own, Im not a novice mechanic and can pretty much do anything as long as I have a decent understanding of what needs to be done and how something will operate, as for the electronics part thats another story. For those of you have installed and NER turbo kit, What's the most important thing to look for, I'm thinking of getting other 2gnters to help with the install down in houston about 3 hours away, but if I have to do it myself I want to be absolutely sure I know all the pitfalls beforehand, I've read about HRC installs but thats a horse of a different color. The big plus for me is having a full shop of tools and lifts but there's only old guys who work there and dont have a clue about turbos, safc, and other gauges SOMEBODY HELP ME PLEASE!

Once the group buy has ended Shaun told me he was going to go through and everyone who had paid their 10% downpayment will get a copy of the install manual in advance. So, maybe once you look through it you will be able to tell if you need help or not.

I also heard something about Shaun working on a video walkthrough as well so it should be alright. I looked over the HRC install just to get a feel of what a turbo install would be like so that might also be a good idea but I say it shouldn't be that bad. Plus everyone will be here to help. :thumbsup

Thanxx guys the video would definitely be a plus, thanxx also gorkoracing for your emails and expertise, Im quite sure a lot of us have the same anxiety about turbos. I do remember shaun saying something about mailing out manuals once the 10% is in that would give me time to bone up I guess.

mostly all turbo kits like, star, hrc, and ner should mostly be all the same setup..its the same basic concept...only difference might be is the fuel setup, that's all... everything else is just bolts etc...your fuel setup is most important...

judging by the spec sheet, the NER kit fuel set up is probably same as Hahns. MAybe the fitting are different, but it flows the same way.

Ask gorko. Im 15 and installed my turbo in two nights. Worst part for me is fuel. ANd its a simp....heh looks like ima have a pretty nice car by my BDAY. :)
