Well, I am running way to rich. My plugs are loading up really quick, and I can't find the reason why.
(Install on the Star system) When I run the Vortech FPR, was i supposed to keep the stock FPR in? The instructions said that I was, but that didn't seem to make sense to me.
If I run an ignition such as MSD, will this help me run more lean? (I do believe I still have one, however i don't know if it will work with a duel coil such as the one on the Eclipse)
Also I was wondering if there was a leak somewhere in between the turbo and the throttle body, if this would cause her to run a little rich.
One more that i can think of is: If either of the o2 sensors were bad then that would cause me to run really rich as well, I was wondering if i could use that little 1/4 watt, 1megaohm resistor trick on both the front and the rear sensor and that would stop the computer from dumping more and more fuel into the engine.
Well with that said, I am new to the world of 4 cyl engines, and I am up to try anything to get this one running good again... When I change or clean my plugs the car runs great for a little bit untill they get loaded up with carbon, and then foul out.

i belive with the fmu your supposed to leave the stock fpr in to control your idle a/f... correct me if im wrong guys...

Yes, you do need to keep the stock FPR with the FMU! This is what sets your fuel pressure at idle, and vacum. The fmu only boosts the fuel pressure under boost. Are you sure you have the proper disk/spring in the fmu? What are your fuel pressures? If you don't have a FP gauge, get one now. IMO, it's an essential tool for tuning, along with an A/F gauge..Also check for vac/boost leaks.. Now if you had the S-FMU, this has a static pressure adjustment on it for your idle fuel pressures, and then there is no need for the stock FPR..

Yes I have a fuel pressure gauge and the month after i had it hooked up (couple weeks before the star kit install) auto meter sends me a freaking letter in the mail saying that all there fuel, full sweep senders were recalled due to a leak issue, so i don't know what i am running for fuel pressure atm, but i will hook a gauge up to my fuel rail this weekend and see what is up.....
Now i am thinking that i am not running rich due to too much fuel, but to an absense of enough air flow..
My following thoughts are situations that i may now consider:
bore out throttle body to allow more air flow.
check and check and recheck for a boost leak somewhere from turbo to TB.

Maybe i just need to find a 2gnter in my area (Redlands Ca), and see if i can't enlist the help of one of them. :)
