....quarts of oil do i need? i just ordered the star stage 1 kit and when i do the install i need to know how much oil our engines need after i empty it out. mobile 1 synthetic good? oh and one more question, in the star instructions it says drill 3 holes in the oil pan, i know one goes from turbo to pan but what are the other holes for? sorry if i sounded too newbie-ish but i wanna make sure i do this thing right ;)........any other tips for the install welcome. tia

4.5 quarts. Mobil 1 is fine. I don't have a star kit but I'd assume that the fiiting has 3 screw holes since there isn't anything else that goes into the pan.

The extra 2 holes are for the nuts and bolts that hold the adapter.

Well i used a good full 5 quarts of oil with new filter after the install of my HRC turbo. Not too sure on your oil pan holes, i only have one. I use mobil 1 synthetic 10W 30

Yeah 5 qrts of 10w-30 here. Ont hole is for the reurning oil, the other 2 for the bolts, like mentioned above. If you have factory foglights , say good bye to them now. be ready for some down time, have some extra hose around, and t's. Get ready to get really mad at the star guys and , I think thats about it, or what I would care to remember. Just ask.

5 quarts??? Isn't that too much. I've always put 4.5 ever since I was NA, I still do now that I'm turbo. I guess it's better this way, more oil. Didn't think it was possible to put a whole 5 quarts in.

Well only used 5 quarts right after the turbo install. Since then, only takes 4.5. Must have been because of no oil at all in the pan, ect..

When installing the turbo how did you prelube the turbo?
